Personal relationship building
Personal relationship building is how to have good relation with students, no matter what their background is and no matter what teachers' background is. Students will remember how the teacher teaches them and how he\she let them feel.
There are many results of personal relationship building; one of the important results is better achievement. When students feel comfortable and safe, they will achieve more. There are six key teacher traits that must be in the teacher in order to build a good relationship with students.
1-      Acknowledge: to show appreciation of the students' effort and work.
2-      Communicating values. It can be done in several ways:
a.        Show interest to students
b.      Being a good listener
c.       Showing high expectations
d.      Re-establishing contact
e.       Being accessible to students  
3-      Respect students. Ways to show respect:
a.       Treat students as valued humans
b.      Give them chances to express their opinions
c.       Involve them in discussion
d.      Appreciate their differences
4-      Fairness: treat all students in the same way.
5-      Realness: share your personal stories to let them feel that you are like them.
6-      Humor and fun: laugh with them not at them.
